Water Music is a departure from Remco's usual approach to ambientmusic. This time mainly acoustic instruments, like the zither and soundbed, were used and manipulated to build droning layered structures of sound.
On the opening-track The Gateway bells and Tibetan Bowls are used for the foundation and bansuri-flute by Kees van Boxtel provides haunting melodic textures. The second track The Eternal Void Remco plays the monochord, also known as the Soundbed, to create the drones. The last track Mountain Above, Mountain Below of this EP is build around recordings Remco made of a zither, which he customised to accommodate his ideas for the music.
